The Subterranean Garage may be unlike any you have seen before. It is one of the largest residential garages in the City of San Marino. Certainly built like a commercial structure in terms of its mass and engineering, the garage can accommodate 6 cars without tandem stacking (8-9 if tandem parked). It also provides tremendous storage through built-in shelving on all walls. The garage measures approximately 2,500 sf, which is in addition to the 11,000 sf of the residence, and includes a separate Staff Bath, intended for the gardening staff or for party catering staff. Because the garage is subterranean, it does not interrupt the views from the home and maximizes open space, making the acreage feel even larger.
The Elliptical Pool and Spa combine the best of design with functionality. Pool tile custom designed in Catalina-style. Thoughtfully integrated into the layout and design of the gardens, the pool area has its own dedicated amenities that make it a special entertainment destination.

By evening, gather around the large outdoor fireplace, enjoy the romantic lighting on the property’s grounds, and take in the serenity.
A Semi-circular Pool House (556 sf) was cleverly designed and engineered to “tuck into” the slope under the poolside patio. The beauty of such thoughtful planning and design is that the Pool House is not visible from the main house and therefore does not obstruct any views of the yard. Yet, this also creates another unique viewing location to overlook the lower gardens. The Pool House itself features a Murphy-type bed, extensive custom cabinetry, a corner fireplace, and 2 gorgeous Bathrooms. Whether you wish to have overnight guests in their own completely private space, or a place to gather for games with friends, the Pool House is at your service. The Pool House bathrooms also serve to accommodate guests at large events. 
The Lighted North-South Tennis Court was built by a noted builder in 1927. It was recently resurfaced and enhanced with an adjustable height basketball hoop and tennis backboard. A small building adjacent to the tennis court permits convenient storage of tennis and sports equipment. The jasmine that completely covers the perimeter fencing bursts into fragrant white blossoms in spring and is a sight/scent to behold. Tennis viewing may be enjoyed on the adjacent patio under the Wisteria Arbor, day or night. The court is well located on the property to maximize open grassy space and privacy.
A Regulation Size Bocce Ball Court made from river rock is yet another wonderful amenity at this private resort. Like everything at the property, the exterior amenities are thoughtfully master-planned and strike that perfect balance of integration into the overall layout of the property - while still serving as an independent gathering spot for recreation and entertainment. Due to the size and layout of the grounds, a large group can play bocce ball without interfering in any way with other recreation, such as tennis or swimming.
Several Water Features enhance the romance of the property. With a careful eye for detail, the owner and the landscape architect placed water features in key locations to create a prevailing sense of serenity, calm and peace. One can relax next to one of the natural-looking ponds in the lower garden surrounded by a lushly landscaped backdrop, or simply enjoy viewing the various water features from several interior rooms of the residence. Open the French doors or windows near one of the fountains, and the outdoors are immediately brought inside. Hidden from view from the rest of the property, the Secret Garden, with its own pond and waterfall, is a place of quiet contentment and peace.
